(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Sunday, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his allegation that the Biden administration has withheld arms shipments to his country following the escalation of the Israel-Hamas war.
This is not the first time that Netanyahu has made such a claim, as last week he also noted that there had been a drastic decrease in arms shipments. This is something the Biden administration has denied.
Last week, following Netanyahu’s original accusation, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that they did not know what he was talking about.
In May, the Biden administration had delayed a shipment of heavy bombs as they were concerned about the arms potentially being used against civilians. However, Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that all other shipments are moving along normally.
The Israeli Prime Minister has refused to embrace the cease-fire deal promoted by President Biden. The deal would return all the hostages currently held in Gaza, while also stopping the fighting. The Hamas leaders have also not yet agreed to the deal.
Biden claimed earlier this month that there was “every reason” to believe that Netanyahu was prolonging the Israel-Hamas war because it was bringing him political benefit.
On Sunday, Netanyahu announced that the offensive in Gaza was “winding down” but warned that it was possible that a war against Hezbollah in Lebanon could erupt. The Biden administration has pushed against Israel invading Lebanon as they fear the possibility of a regional war with Iran backing the group in Lebanon.
Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown also warned that such an escalation could effectively result in a proxy war and might end up risking the lives of American service members.
