(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Michael Schafer, an editor for Politico in a recently published column called for liberals to stop portraying those who are prosecuting former President Donald Trump as heroes and to stop the “progressive hero worship.”
In the column, he claimed that Trump only had one chance and that was to claim that the legal system had been politicized against him. He then argued that with their behavior liberals were actually assisting Trump in building this narrative.
He proceeded to make reference to many Etsy store merchandise which ss praising Judge Tanya Chutkan, and that state “JUDGE CHUTKAN FAN CLUB” on them. As he pointed out there was no other public employee who has become an icon simply because of their interactions with Trump.
He added that Calder McHugh, an editor, also wrote about the cult that had emerged around special counsel Jack Smith, who is widely viewed as one of the most important people in Trump’s prosecution. Smith now has Twitter and TikTok fan accounts, while there are others who have created artwork and merchandise depicting Smith as Jaws. To a lesser extent, there is also some merchandise that features Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is handling the case against Trump in New York, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
Earlier this week Trump was indicted for a fourth time in Fulton County following the decision of a grand jury.
Schafer has argued that this behavior from the left was a “terrible look” and that it was very counterproductive as it helped Trump’s argument.
