
(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – A new Echelon Insights Survey found that former President Donald Trump is considered the most electable Republican in the 2024 Republican presidential primary race. In the poll results, Trump was leading against all other contenders by a wide margin.
When voters were asked which of the Republican candidates they would choose if the primary contest was held today 49 percent stated they would support Trump. In battleground states, 56 percent expressed support for Trump. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis only managed to receive 16 percent of overall support and 22 percent in battleground states, and Vivek Ramaswamy received 10 percent of overall support or 7 percent in battleground states. The remaining candidates in the presidential primary race were unable to receive more than single digits.
When asked about whom they would consider supporting for the GOP nomination, Trump received 66 percent support, DeSantis received 52 percent and Ramaswamy received 40 percent. Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., was selected by 25 percent overall and 24 percent in battleground states, while former Vice President Mike Pence was selected by 23 percent overall and 20 percent in battlegrounds. Finally, the only other candidate to receive double-digit support was Nikki Haley with 22 percent overall and 21 percent in battleground states.
When it came to a matchup between President Biden and Trump, 45 percent of respondents stated they would support Biden, while 44 percent said the same about Trump. However, when asked whether they wanted Biden to run for a second term, only 28 percent did, while 59 percent were against him running again. This did not however stop the majority of Democrats, 60 percent, to state that they would definitely vote for Biden in their party’s primary.
