( – Sen. Joe Manchin who is considering a third-party run for the White House in 2024 has had many people in the party warning him that joining the race could cost President Joe Biden the election while handing a win to former President Donald Trump.

Despite these warnings, Manchin has dismissed the claim that a third-party run could have any effect on President Biden’s chances of winning re-election in the potential 2024 rematch with Trump. Trump continues to be the frontrunner in the 2024 Republican presidential primary.

In an interview with Fox News host Brett Baier on “Special Report,” Manchin noted that he would never be spoiling the race for anyone and that he disagreed with the analysis that many Democrats had made. He further emphasized that he believes that a possible win from former President Trump would mean that democracy would be completely destroyed.

Manchin has also stated that he was worried that Biden, 81, would have a hard time defeating Donald Trump in the next presidential race. Earlier this month Manchin announced that he would not be looking for re-election next year in the Senate. This could be a big hit for the Democrats who are trying to maintain their majority in the Senate in the 2024 election.

Manchin also teased that he was considering a third-party presidential campaign in the following days and told NBC News that he was considering placing another bid for the White House. In a separate interview with CBS News, he had also claimed that there was still a lot of time until he needed to make a decision on whether or not he was running.

Manchin further claimed that national politics has become increasingly more polarized and had left millions of voters who fall in the middle without a voice in Washington.
