(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley slammed former President Donald Trump over his latest gaffe, arguing that he was not mentally fit to lead in office, as he had done in 2016.
Last week, Trump mixed up Haley and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) while talking about the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol attack. When asked about this gaffe by CBS “Face The Nation” anchor Margaret Brennan Haley said that this mix-up had been the first time that she had questioned whether Trump was mentally fit enough to be in office.
She also proceeded to mention a number of other times when Trump had mixed up names and events, including a time when he had said that Biden would cause the U.S. to get into World War II, most likely meaning World War III or a different time when he said that he had run against President Obama, which he had never done. In his latest mix-up, Trump had stated that Haley was in charge of Capitol security on Jan. 6. However, at the time Haley was not even serving in office.
Haley proceeded to state that this was unsurprising considering this was someone reaching their 80s who was running for office. As she noted it was normal that their mental stability would decline as this was human nature.
Haley also pointed out that President Biden, who is currently 81, is significantly different now when compared to how he had been when he first won the White House two years ago.
