(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Tuesday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) stated on the White House Floor that he might bring forward a vote to have House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) removed, and suggested that it could be up to the House Democrats to “bail” McCarthy out.”

During his remarks, he argued that one of the things he agreed on with his Democrat colleagues is that the House has been led poorly for the past eight months. He added that the House GOP needed to do something about that, which could mean that the Democrats would be given the opportunity to potentially “bail out our failed Speaker.”

Gaetz has frequently threatened to push for a vote to have McCarthy ousted from the Speakership role if he does not agree to the spending demands made by the conservative faction of his conference. He has also maintained that he is serious about his threat and has so far not introduced a motion for his removal.

The House rules right now state that a motion to vacate the Speakership can be brought forward by a single House member.

Gaetz pointed out in his remarks that the country has a debt of $33 trillion and that the annual deficit it is facing is $2 trillion. He added that both the debt and the deficits were quickly increasing which was leading to U.S. money being devalued. He then proceeded to take a jab at Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) by stating that with cash alone currently, they could not even bribe Democratic senators and that gold bars were required. Menendez is facing bribery charges after the FBI discovered $100,000 in gold and $500,000 in cash stored in his home.
