(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Wednesday, during a House Homeland Security Committee FBI Director Christopher Wray set the record straight after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) suggested a connection between his agency and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

In the hearing, Wray highlighted that currently, the United States is in a “heightened threat environment.” Greene proceeded to ask him about last month’s “cease-fire” protest in the Capitol in which she had shared a photo on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In response, Wray argued that he did not spend “a lot of time” on the platform. Greene quickly fired back that multiple federal agencies including DHS censor American citizens online. She added that she was certain he did that too because of this reason.

Wray was very quick to correct Greene’s assertion, pointing out that he was not a part of the DHS, and was not connected to the federal agency.

Greene responded again that Wray’s interest needed to be in investigating terrorism.

Greene proceeded to show a screenshot from a group chat titled “Global Intifada,” and demonstrated the pro-Hamas sentiment from individuals who were involved in the cease-fire protest on October 18th. She added that Wray should be trying to pursue all those involved in the protest in the exact way that they had done for those involved in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
