FBI Investigates Tesla Dealership Attacks as Possible Terrorism
Federal authorities have launched investigations into a series of alarming attacks targeting Tesla facilities across the country. The most notable incident occurred at a Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas, where a suspect dressed in all black used Molotov cocktails to set several vehicles ablaze. Five vehicles were damaged in the attack, with two completely engulfed in flames. Law enforcement also discovered evidence of gunfire and an unignited Molotov cocktail at the scene. Las Vegas police received emergency calls reporting the fires at approximately 2:45 a.m. PDT, and firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it reached the vehicles’ battery compartments.
FBI Las Vegas Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans stated the attack “certainly has some of the hallmarks” of terrorism, though he cautioned it was too early in the investigation to confirm the official classification. Evans delivered a stern warning to potential copycats, saying, “Violent acts like this are unacceptable regardless of where they occur. And specifically, to those who might think that something like this is justifiable or potentially even admirable, we want to let you know that it’s a federal crime. We will come after you, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”
The Las Vegas incident is believed to be isolated, with no ongoing threat to public safety, though investigators are considering the possibility of multiple suspects. Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo condemned the attack as “despicable” and promised prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
Pattern of Nationwide Tesla Targeting
The Las Vegas attack is not an isolated incident. Federal authorities are also investigating a separate case in Kansas City where two Tesla Cybertrucks were damaged by fire. In San Diego, vandals defaced a Tesla dealership with antisemitic symbols and profanity spray-painted on both the building and a vehicle. These incidents form part of what Musk has described as a coordinated campaign against Tesla and himself personally. Attorney General Pam Bondi has officially labeled these attacks as “domestic terrorism,” emphasizing the serious nature of the threats.
Musk has condemned the attacks in strong terms, calling them “insane and deeply wrong” and directly labeling them as terrorism. His comments suggest he believes there is coordination behind the incidents, raising questions about who might be funding or organizing them. According to Musk, the attacks may be a response to his efforts with President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), where he claims to have identified $2 trillion in potential government spending cuts.
Musk Connects Attacks to His Government Role
As part of the Department of Government Efficiency, Musk has been tasked with identifying and eliminating wasteful government spending and reducing the federal workforce. According to Musk, these efforts have made him a target for those benefiting from government largesse and corruption. He specifically mentioned receiving death threats related to his government efficiency work.
🚨 Elon Musk just SLAMMED the Democrats for violently attacking Tesla

Musk has also expressed concern about a website called Dogequest that allegedly lists Tesla owners’ personal information, calling it “extreme domestic terrorism.” The entrepreneur has received public support from President Trump, who has showcased Tesla vehicles at the White House and joined Musk in characterizing the attacks as domestic terrorism. Despite the attacks, Musk has maintained his commitment to both his corporate and governmental roles, recently celebrating the safe return of NASA astronauts via a SpaceX capsule, which he framed as a positive contrast to the ongoing violence against his companies.
