Apparently worried that she might lose the Moral Outrage Olympics to Beto O’Rourke, Sen. Elizabeth Warren told the New York Times this week that she was certain of President Trump’s racism. Indeed, far from just being your run-of-the-mill bigot, Trump is apparently a White Supremacist, which would seem to indicate that racism is one of his primary ideologies. We’re not sure how you would come to such a conclusion, but it helps if you’re a leftist Democrat pandering for the black vote.
Is Trump a white supremacist? asked the Times.
“Yes,” Warren replied. “He has given aid and comfort to white supremacists. He’s done the wink and a nod. He has talked about white supremacists as fine people. He’s done everything he can to stir up racial conflict and hatred in this country.”
Earlier in the day, O’Rourke was asked the same question on MSNBC.
“He is,” O’Rourke claimed. “He’s dehumanized or sought to dehumanize those who do not look like or pray like the majority here in this country.”
And then, because it’s no fun letting Democrats have all the fun, the New York Times got in on the action themselves:
Mr. Trump has a long history of using race for his own gain, and his time in the White House has been no exception.
After pushing the “birther” lie about President Barack Obama, Mr. Trump began his campaign for the presidency by disparaging Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals. As president, he sought to bar people from predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States; said there were “very fine people on both sides” of a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va.; and used an obscenity to describe African nations.
He has warned of an “invasion” of migrants at the southern border. And last month, he said that four congresswomen of color should “go back” to the countries they came from; all four are American citizens and only one of the women was born outside the United States.
Mr. Trump has faced condemnations from Democratic presidential candidates in the wake of the mass shooting on Saturday in El Paso. The suspect in the attack is believed to have described it in a manifesto as “a response to the Hispanic invasion of Texas” — echoing Mr. Trump’s language.
The Democrats and their media cheerleaders have decided that nothing suits their agenda better than to re-run the TRUMP IS A RACIST NAZI campaign that lost them the White House in 2016. Some people learn the hard way, but we guess others simply don’t learn at all.
