(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Jamie Harrison, the chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in a recent appearance on The Saturday Show with Jonathan Capehart slammed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) stating that he is “the most inept Speaker of the House in my lifetime.”
Harrison’s comment came in response to Capehart’s question regarding the current chaos that has erupted in the House over the appropriations bills. The government is also likely to shut down at the end of the month as a result of House Republicans being unable to agree and vote on a spending bill.
Harrison in response claimed that McCarthy did not know how to work the floor and that he had never before seen something like this. He added that he believes McCarthy just wanted to have his portrait hung in the Speaker’s Gallery, but that he does not believe there is a gallery for those who were “Speaker-in-name-only.” He added that McCarthy would be given a portrait even though he is “pathetic.”
McCarthy has in the past week been open about his frustrations regarding the opposition he is dealing with from many House members including Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) who have opposed the spending bills. On Thursday he told reporters that currently there was a group of individuals who were just looking to have everything burned down. He added that this would not work and that in reality, this is just an obstacle he needs to overcome.
Harrison also stated regarding the impeachment against President Joe Biden that it was “baseless.”
