(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – The GOP is downplaying Project 2025 as the Democrat’s message against the Heritage Foundation-led policy agenda has been breaking through the frenzy relating to President Joe Biden’s abilities and age.

While congressional Republicans have been pushing that there is a clear difference between the agenda of former President Donald Trump and the one of Project 2025, they have not completely dismissed the project or the organization that had put it forward.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) claimed that he was not familiar with Project 2025 despite being one of the people who knew a lot when it came to policy. Still, as he argued, this was not something he was familiar with, which just goes to show that it was truly a “nothing burger.”

At the same time, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) claimed that he had not had the time to look through the lengthy proposal but that he definitely supported the groups that were behind it and the principles of those groups.

However, former President Donald Trump took a firm stance on the matter as the Democrats are attempting to connect the project to him, arguing that some of the things said in the proposal are “ridiculous and abysmal.”

The leading conservative think tank Heritage released the unofficial project which has a buy-in from over 100 other organizations on the right. As part of the initiative, they have also included a database of conservative staffers who would be able to fill the next Trump or Republican administration. The project is over 900 pages long.
