(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Thursday, former President Donald Trump turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail where he was booked in connection to the Georgia indictment over his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
Within the last three weeks, Trump has managed to fundraise close to $20 million, out of which $7.1 million has been raised since his booking on Thursday according to Steven Cheung, a spokesman for the Trump campaign.
Cheung took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to write about the fundraising efforts of the past few days. As he pointed out after Trump had his mugshot taken in the Georgia racketeering and fraud case, he has raised $7.1 million. More impressively, $4.18 million was raised on Friday alone, making this the highest-grossing day for the Trump campaign thus far.
After Trump’s mugshot was released by a Georgia courthouse on Thursday evening, his campaign and others were quick to use the mugshot on several merchandise, including shot glasses, T-shirts, mugs, bobblehead dolls, and posters.
While Trump has been indicted three times before, he was never required to have his mugshot taken. On Thursday, he became the first U.S. president in history to have a mugshot. His indictment in Georgia includes more than a dozen charges which are connected to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results in the state, after losing to Democrat Joe Biden.
The former President is now leading the Republican presidential primary race and aims to take the White House once again in 2024.
