(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – New York Republican Rep. Nicole Malliotakis recently spoke about her intention to introduce a resolution that could get New York Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman expelled after a video was released of him pulling the House’s fire alarm to allegedly delay House proceedings.

Bowman had reportedly pulled the alarm as the House was preparing to vote on a spending bill that would fund the government and would allow them to stop the government from shutting down. In the video, Bowman can be seen pulling the alarm after the House GOP announced the continuing resolution which would allow the government to remain funded.

Following the emergence of the video, Bowman has been accused of having deliberately pulled the firearm in an attempt to delay the House vote. However, he has maintained that he did not pull the alarm in order to delay the vote and that it had been a mistake as he believed that the building doors would open after he pulled the alarm.

During an appearance on “FOX & Friends” Malliotakis told host Ainsley Earhardt that the Congress was not a public high school in New York. She added that Bowman as a former high school principal should know that pulling the fire alarm is one of the oldest tricks in the book and that even if students did it there were severe ramifications.

She then pointed out that it would be appropriate for Bowman to be held accountable for his actions and that the Democrats had spent that entire afternoon trying to delay the vote. She added that these types of tricks were just disrupting the Congress’ proceedings.
