Conservative Actor Dropped By His Liberal Talent Agent on Fourth of July

We like this story because it’s a great window into how Hollywood liberals look at themselves. Sanctimonious, elitist, and morally RIGHT…even when they are as wrong as wrong can get. Their definition of patriotism has really been on display for the past week, and we have to think that, even at this late date, a great many proud Americans are waking up to just how twisted, dark, ignorant, and hateful the left has become. The more outright contempt the left shows for this president and the Americans who believe in him, the more your average voter is able to see that the Democratic Party is a malignant cancer on the face of this country. All right, maybe that’s just us on a tangent, but when a liberal Hollywood agent thinks that dropping a conservative actor off his talent roster is an act of patriotism, it is a healthy reminder of just how loony these people really are.

In a tweet this week, James Woods said that his agent, Ken Kaplan, had decided he could no longer represent the fiercely outspoken, conservative actor.

“It’s the 4th of July and I’m feeling patriotic,” Kaplan wrote to his client. “I don’t want to represent you anymore. I mean I can go on a rant but you know what I’d say.”

Now if there’s one true thing about Woods, it’s that he’s not shy about laying into someone when they deserve it. But while we would have taken a special kind of pleasure in watching him excoriate this spineless liberal in the public square, we were even more impressed by the classy response that Woods actually wrote.

“Dear Ken,” he wrote (and then replicated for his followers), “I don’t actually. I was thinking if you’re feeling patriotic, you would appreciate free speech and one’s right to think as an individual. Be that as it may, I want to thank you for all your hard work and devotion on my behalf. Be well.”

It really doesn’t get much better than that.

Oh, we might also point out that there is considerable depth to the agent’s cowardice here. For one thing, it is really weak to drop your client just because you’re afraid of what your Hollywood pals will think about you when you tell them that you represent a guy who unapologetically supports Donald Trump. That’s the opposite of patriotic. Two, it doesn’t take a lot of guts to drop a client who announced last October that he was retiring from acting. We’re not going to stand here and pass judgment on Ken Kaplan, who we don’t know from Adam, but this is still a nice little example of how pathetic Democrats can be…especially out there in La La Land.
