Biden’s Impeachment To Backfire Badly?

( – A Republican strategist has argued that the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden would “absolutely backfire.” The investigation concerns allegations over Joe Biden’s involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s business affairs, during his time serving as the Vice President in the Obama administration. Joe Biden is also facing accusations of having taken bribes and of using his political influence to benefit his family’s business.

The White House has repeatedly denied the allegations, and many Democrats have slammed the Republican impeachment inquiries for having failed to find any evidence that proved the allegations against Biden.

The impeachment inquiry was first announced in September, however on Tuesday House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that next week the House would hold a vote to formalize the inquiry. In a statement, Johnson argued that the House was required to vote on an impeachment inquiry on the floor. This helps in cases where a court challenges the subpoenas they will have the option to point out their constitutional authority.

The White House previously sent a statement to Newsweek in which they dismissed the possible vote and noted that the attempts of the Republicans to impeach them were a “waste” of time and that it was “sad.”

On Thursday, the House GOP introduced a resolution to formalize the impeachment inquiry into President Biden as it would be helpful to the enforcement of the subpoenas and would allow for open hearings in the investigation.

On Sunday, during an MSNBC interview Lucy Caldwell, the former campaign manager for 2020 GOP presidential candidate Joe Walsh spoke with host Katie Phang about the possible outcome of the probe and the impact it might have on the impeachment inquiry’s outcome.
