(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – President Biden is set to deliver speeches at three significant events during the week of the Republican National Convention, pushing for many of the key themes and issues that his reelection campaign has focused on. As part of the engagements announced the Biden campaign has noted visits to key battleground states. The events are set to take place despite many Democratic lawmakers calling for Biden to step aside.
On July 15th, Biden will appear in Austin, Texas, where he will speak at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. The speech will occur on the same day as the opening of the Republican convention, where former President Donald Trump will officially receive the party’s nomination.
The following day, Biden will address the 115th NAACP national convention in Las Vegas in an attempt to engage Black voters. On July 17th in Nevada he will deliver remarks at the UnidosUS annual conference, focused on Latinos and allies.
These speeches are all in alignment with the issues and themes that have been central to the Biden campaign messaging. Biden’s newest appearances are going to come following his weak performance in the first presidential debate in late June which resulted in many Democrats calling for him to step down from the race. Many have also expressed concerns on whether or not he is in a position to beat former President Donald Trump in the upcoming race. These fears are further perpetuated by the polls that show him to be trailing Trump in many key battleground states.
