(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Monday, President Biden started fundraising following the victory of former President Donald Trump in Iowa.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter on Monday night, Biden stated that it appeared that Trump had won Iowa and was clearly leading the GOP. However, as he pointed out the upcoming election was always going to be about Biden and the American people fighting against the extreme MAGA GOP. He added that this was always true and it would continue to be true tomorrow. Along with his post, he shared a link to a fundraising page for his 2024 presidential campaign.

News outlets started calling that Trump had won the caucus within 30 minutes of the caucuses being underway. By the time 90 percent of the vote had been in, Trump had won the support of around 50 percent of the vote, showing that he would be well ahead of any other Republican presidential candidate.

In other early primary states, including Nevada, South Carolina, and New Hampshire, Trump is also seen leading many of the polls.

Biden used his first speech of 2024 to attack Trump and reiterate the threats that he would pose to U.S. democracy. He further cited his refusal to accept that he had lost the 2020 presidential election, and how he did not condemn political violence but rather had vowed to take revenge if he was reelected.

On Monday night, while speaking to his supporters in Des Moines, Trump had slammed Biden who he referred to as the worst U.S. president in the country’s history.
