(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Many top White House aides have argued that they do not believe the protests across colleges in the country would significantly affect the presidential election. Students have been protesting the federal administration’s position in the war in Gaza, especially following Israel’s latest offensive. However, aides don’t believe that this will cost Biden any voters, despite recent polls clearly showing that many Democrats are not happy with the position of President Biden regarding the Israel-Gaza war.
Despite the opinion of the Biden campaign and top aides that the war will not affect the presidential election, some youth organizers and Democratic strategists have warned that the situation could actually end up costing Biden in the upcoming election against former President Donald Trump.
Aides revealed to Reuters that they were advising President Biden to not directly engage with the protesters, and they have claimed that the numbers of those demonstrating are so insignificant that they would not cause any harm to the reelection campaign of President Biden.
In November, voters will need to choose between Trump and Biden; however, many officials remain convinced that despite the opposition to some of Biden’s policies, voters will still vote for Biden. Reuters, in their report, found that around a dozen top White House officials have stated that they are concerned about the impact of the protests and Biden’s way of handling the issue.
However, the majority of officials also pointed out that young voters are also considering other issues including inflation and housing costs more than they are considering the war in Gaza.
