(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – USA Today in a recent report noted that Congressman Brian Mast, who is a military veteran, has blasted President Joe Biden over his claims that there had not been any service members who had lost their lives under his watch.
On Wednesday night, Mast, who had served in Afghanistan, pointed out that Biden had been responsible for the day that former President Donald Trump has dubbed the “most embarrassing day” in U.S. history. This was a reference to the 2021 chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Mast noted that the worst thing was that President Biden did not appear to remember that there had been 13 American heroes who had died during the evacuation and had arrived in Dover in their coffins. He continued by stating that Biden had remembered at the time to check his watch. This was a direct reference to the ceremony that had taken place in 2021 at the Dover Air Force Base where Biden had stared at his watch. The ceremony was in honor of the 13 United States servicemen who had been killed during the Kabul airport suicide bombing. The troops had been there assisting in the evacuation of Americans from Afghanistan.
Mast pointed out that the war had cost close to $2,500 lives of American troops and that Biden was disgracing their service and the service of all veterans. He added that American troops deserved better.
Mast, who had lost his legs during that war, argued that there was nothing that would have stopped him from supporting Trump and fighting for the United States.
