(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Sen. Tim Scott during an interview on Newsmax on Saturday argued that a strong president was required to keep Iran in check.

Scott, who is running in the 2024 GOP presidential primary argued that Iran was going to continue with its “malignant behavior” and that there was no doubt that the country had sponsored terrorist groups, including Hamas who allegedly received “90 percent of its resources from Iran.” As he pointed out Hezbollah funding is also coming from Iran which he referred to as the “strongest, most powerful evil force” in the world.

During his interview on “America Right Now” Scott claimed that a strong U.S. president was required in order for Iran to be put in its place and that the country needed to face the consequences for the deaths of Americans in Gaza and Israel. He added that without a strong president in place, terrorism was going to spread across the Middle East and American personnel in military bases in the region would come under fire.

The Senator further claimed that the Biden administration has enabled Iran’s activities and that during this administration there have been 83 attacks on U.S. soldiers but “only four or five responses.”

In terms of how to address the situation with Iran, Scott said that the first thing to focus on would be destroying the country’s economy through sanctions with a focus on the energy sector. The second way is to let them know that if a single hostage dies in the hands of Iran or its proxies then the price would be “someone’s life in Iran.”
