(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Tuesday, GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie predicted that one of the legal cases that former President Donald Trump is facing would lead to his conviction. He added that things were “over” for Trump.

This latest prediction came only one week after Mark Meadows, Trump’s former chief of staff was given an immunity deal. During an MSNBC interview, Christie argued that this is the same person who had been attacked by Trump throughout his 2020 presidential campaign and in the aftermath of the election. This is why he claimed that the deal was “deadly” and that it was “over” for Trump as he would be convicted.

During his appearance on “Morning Joe,” he added that he wanted GOP voters to gain an understanding of this and to consider what was going to happen in March when Trump would be required to sit in a Washington, D.C. courtroom while Meadows is only 20 feet away providing his testimony. The former New Jersey governor alleged that during his testimony Meadows was going to talk about the crimes that Trump had committed in front of him.

In August, federal prosecutors charged Trump over his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. The Department of Justice had not charged Meadows in the case that was brought forward by special counsel Jack Smith. However, Meadows was included as one of the defendants in the Georgia election interference case along with 18 other defendants including Trump.

Meadows’ immunity deal with Smith will allow him to testify in the Washington federal case before a grand jury.
