This has been quite the week when it comes to Democrats going off script. First you had Donna Brazile’s smoking-hot claims that Hillary Clinton basically purchased the Democratic National Committee in August 2015, giving her a free ride to the nomination. Then, in reference to those revelations, you had Elizabeth Warren saying she believed that the primaries were indeed rigged against Bernie Sanders. And now, if that wasn’t enough to give Chuck Schumer heart palpitations, we have Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California telling CNN that she hasn’t seen any hard evidence connecting the Trump campaign to Russia! This house of cards is collapsing faster than you can say “Kevin Spacey.”
In an interview with Jake Tapper on Sunday, Feinstein – a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee – was asked point blank: “Have you seen any evidence that this dirt, these emails, were ever given to the Trump campaign?”
Drum roll, please…
“Not so far,” she replied, which is about as diplomatic as a Democrat can get when saying what amounts to: “Nope, this whole thing is a farce.”
Tapper continued. “Have you seen any communications that suggested that the Trump campaign wanted them to release them through a different means? Because obviously they were ultimately released by Wikileaks.”
“No, I have not,” Feinstein answered.
Now, we’re left to believe one of two things. One, that after more than a year of federal investigations, the FBI, the CIA, and the rest of the intelligence community has been unable to get to the truth. That after a year, they haven’t been able to conclusively prove that a U.S. citizen or citizens illegally colluded with a foreign power. That in all of this time, the greatest national security agencies in the history of the world are just…not quite there yet…when it comes to proving an open-and-shut case of TREASON against the United States. That they, instead, bungled the case so badly that they allowed said traitor to become the PRESIDENT!
It’s all baloney.
There comes a time for every investigation to come to an end, and this one is well past its expiration date. We have a concerted fear – backed up by the strange and irrelevant charges brought against Paul Manafort – that Robert Mueller and his team are going way beyond their mandate. They are digging and digging and digging, and we have no doubt that if they dig long enough, they’ll find something they can use to bring down President Trump – politically, if not legally. Even if it’s just leaks and rumors and innuendo, the media will be more than happy to fill in the blanks.
This should not be a difficult case to prove. If even 5% of that insane dossier is factual, there’s no reason why Dianne Feinstein wouldn’t know about it. And yet, here she is confirming that she’s seen NO evidence of Russian collusion. This case is a farce, it’s political shenanigans, and it’s hurting our democracy every day that it continues.
