Jorge Ramos: The Problem is the Media Was TOO EASY on Trump

Univision anchor and patient zero for Trump Derangement Syndrome Jorge Ramos penned an op-ed for The New York Times this weekend in which he hit on the major problem with the Trump administration, the president’s rise to power, and the free press. In Ramos’s opinion, the problem isn’t that the media turned Trump and his supporters into enemies who need to be vanquished by the Good and Caring Liberal Establishment. Oh no, that’s not it at all. The problem is that the media was far too easy on Trump!

“I had the honor once of being kicked out of a Donald Trump news conference. I asked him a question he didn’t want to answer and a security guard threw me out. It happened on Aug. 25, 2015, in Dubuque, Iowa, during Mr. Trump’s first presidential campaign,” Ramos recalled. “The news conference revealed with astonishing clarity who Mr. Trump really was: a dangerous populist, an anti-immigrant bully, and a threat to democracy and the free press.”

For Ramos, getting kicked out of that press conference for rude and unprofessional behavior remains a highlight of his career.

He continued: “Perhaps it was the pandemic that was most responsible for putting an end to Mr. Trump’s presidency. But the entire debacle might have been avoided if we had simply paid greater attention — and offered more resistance — to the words and gestures of the undeserving man who descended the golden escalator of Trump Tower in 2015.”

You know what really makes Ramos a joke? A South American dictator actually put this idiot in detention for a short time, showing him exactly what it’s like to try and exercise your “rights” as a reporter in a country that doesn’t respect them. As far as we know, though, the Trump administration has never made an attempt to apprehend him. He hasn’t been shut down or thrown off the airwaves. He certainly hasn’t been put in prison. So what the hell is he whining about? He got thrown out of that press conference for the same kind of clownish behavior that got Jim Acosta stripped of his press pass. Quit acting like a buffoon and you won’t get treated like one!

Short of taking up arms against him, the media in this country could not POSSIBLY have been harsher on Donald Trump. From publishing biased stories to inventing fake news, they did everything in their power to kneecap his presidency from the first day. Anyone who thinks otherwise is extremely confused and maybe even a little dangerous.
