Pundits from both sides of the political spectrum were scratching their heads last week when Democrats scrapped a planned resolution against anti-semitism – one that would have more directly acknowledged the unacceptable commentary that Rep. Ilhan Omar has been spouting lately, and instead traded it for a meaningless, toothless “anti-hate” resolution that was so watered down…that Omar herself actually tweeted her support of it!
But if there was any confusion about who or what was behind this exercise in cowardice, Women’s March founder, known anti-Semite, and proud Islamist Linda Sarsour cleared it up shortly after the House passed their new resolution. After slamming Nancy Pelosi last week as a “typical white feminist upholding the patriarchy doing the dirty work of powerful white men,” Sarsour explained that she and her fellow leftists were responsible for bringing the Democratic leadership to heel.
From The Daily Caller:
According to Sarsour on Friday, she and her fellow organizers worked behind the scenes to change the original intent of the non-binding resolution by the end of the week.
“Friends, our supporters, you know the Women’s March we’re going through some rough times and if you know anything about this past week, I’m going to give you some ideas of what we did this week. So, many of you know that our sister Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was under attack,” Sarsour said.
She continued, “And you know being able to mobilize progressive leaders across the country to sign on to a letter to organize a press conference in support of Ilhan Omar to call on the Democratic leadership to actually expand the language of the resolution to include condemning all forms of bigotry because that’s the kind of movement we’re apart of.”
“The women’s march is a movement that unequivocally rejects all forms of racism and anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia and that’s what we called on the Democratic leadership to do — that in our lifetime we made history with a resolution that is going to be in the public record for life,” Sarsour added.
Of course, there’s not a part of that statement that isn’t pure nonsense. The Women’s March is completely eaten up with anti-Semitism, as has been proven in story after story. And Sarsour herself is an unapologetic supporter of Sharia Law, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other nefarious, Islamist concepts and groups that stop just shy of endorsing terrorism. She is a cancer on the already-cancerous feminist movement and a hatemonger who should have no seat at the American political table.
That she is in bed with the likes of Ilhan Omar is just more evidence that the latter should be expelled from Congress as soon as possible.
