Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is pushing world leaders to form a “temporary” one-world government to solve the public health crisis (and the accompanying economic crisis) brought about by the coronavirus. Since we know from experience that any time left-wing globalists propose drastic action like this, everything immediately dissolves and goes back to normal once the immediate crisis is over, we’re sure there’s nothing to worry about here. And when the global authorities come around to implant a chip in your hand, rest assured that it’s only temporary, it’s for your own good, and there’s absolutely no reason to panic.
Ahead of a virtual meeting of the G20 countries on Thursday, Brown told The Guardian newspaper that it would take more than individual national leadership to respond to the pandemic.
“This is not something that can be dealt with in one country,” he said. “There has to be a coordinated global response.”
Brown said that there were differences between the current crisis and the 2008 financial crisis.
“That was an economic problem that had economic causes and had an economic solution,” he said. “This is first and foremost a medical emergency and there has to be joint action to deal with that. But the more you intervene to deal with the medical emergency, the more you put economies at risk.”
The former prime minister said he envisions a global taskforce that would fight the crisis in two ways: Put together a coordinated effort to develop a vaccine and organize the production and purchasing of goods and services.
Because THAT sounds like something we could easily walk away from when all of this is over, right?
“Many countries have announced economic packages in the past two weeks but Brown said a taskforce could: make sure the efforts of central banks were coordinated; take steps to prevent the record flight of capital from emerging market economies; and agree a joint approach to the use of government spending to boost growth,” reports The Guardian.
Oh boy. What was Trump saying about the cure being worse than the disease? Yeah, here is that concept in blinding, neon letters.
If this disaster has taught us anything, it’s that we need to work on retreating from the global stage – not stuffing ourselves into it even more than we have been. Certainly not outsourcing our ultimate leadership to some charismatic Middle Easterner who manages to convince the UN that he should be in charge of our new One World Government.
Here’s an idea: Tell them we’ll join up…as long as they make Donald J. Trump the first Global President.
Watch how quickly people like Gordon Brown lose interest.
